Each zone runs at its own level simultaneously. Simmer a béchamel at the back on level 2 while you bring stock to a rolling boil on level 9 at the front. All magnetic-base cookware is compatible. Full-clad stainless steel gives the most consistent results across both zones. Cast iron, enamel, and magnetic-base pans all work without issue.
